Auckland: Fri 12 Jun—Sun 14 Jun 2026

Meeting the Sacred Through the Body: A Hakomi Experience

Hakomi is a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy that honours the body as a gateway to awareness, healing, and transformation. The work unfolds gently, at your own pace, guided by curiosity and compassion. In the quiet beneath our habits and stories we have an inner compass—steady, wise, and deeply attuned to all levels of our being

The chaos and aggression in our world can be disheartening and overwhelming. We need to reconnect with our inner knowing to ground ourselves in present moment awareness and begin to listen to our body’s wisdom. This experimental Hakomi workshop invites us to slow down, turn inwards, and touch our sacred core. It can help us bring compassion to the ways we may have compromised this core in order to be safe and loved.

In Hakomi we use mindfulness to develop inner awareness. Mindfulness helps us to observe ourselves, so that rather than getting caught in a vortex of negativity, we can simply begin to notice ourselves moment to moment. With mindfulness as a foundation, we observe from a position of compassion and sacred connection to ourselves.

This workshop can serve as the prerequisite to the Hakomi Comprehensive Training.
